    Fascinating – it appears on the late 1880’s editions of the “6-inch” OS maps, but appears to have vanished by 1920
    Have other readers come acros “the Lincolnshire Potato Railways” I wonder?
    There is or was an Oakwood Press book on the subject.
    And I can just remember seeing one in operation, when I was about 8, crossing the main road at Fleet (Hargate)
    The Lincolnshire potato railways were, IIRC usually 2′ gauge
