    Last year, I was at a lecture given by one of their senior inspectors – most illuminating.
    RAIB have amazing powers, including arrest of those obstructing their work.
    At the same time, any infoirmation voluntarily given to them is “Privileged” – it cannot be used in any subsequent criminal prosecutions. This safeguard helps enormously in arriving at corect conclusions as to “what went wrong”
