  1. “Would your home have been under a motorway? ” is an interesting read, particularly the maps.

    What was proposed was a bit similar to the construction of railways into central London 100 years before although the scale was rather bigger.

    While the inner box seems a bit excessive, it’s a shame that the North (and to a degree) South Circular junction improvements were not completed before road improvements became too unpopular.

  2. The two houses I lived in between 1981 and 1986 would both have disappeared under these plans. Both are still standing today.
